St. Francis is the area’s only facility to offer numerous cardiac services, including:
- Heart surgery, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Valve replacement and /or repair, and aortic aneurysm repair
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) with on-site cardiac surgery back-up
- Electrophysiology services

- Acute Coronary Syndrome Care certification from The Joint Commission
- Advanced Primary Stroke Care certification from The Joint Commission

The Emergency Department at St. Francis is specially equipped and staffed to diagnose and treat heart attacks and stroke. In fact, St. Francis is the only hospital in the region to have earned Acute Coronary Syndrome Care certification from The Joint Commission.
