Columbus, GA (March 8, 2017) –Chip Geitz, VP of Physician Practice Operations, at St. Francis Hospital will be speaking this week at the annual Alabama Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Conference, being held in Birmingham, AL. The theme of this year’s program is “Leadership Through Chaos” and will be an opportunity for healthcare leaders to learn about the vast changes happening with medical practice management.
Chip will be speaking on “Practice Management 101, Equipping the Next Generation of Practice Managers for Success” which will educate the attendees on the evolving role of practice managers in this environment of healthcare reform to ensure proper accountability and the usage of collaborative teams to share best practices.
Chip is a seasoned financial professional with more than17 years of experience in financial management, physician practice operations, financial and operational audits, M&A transactions, business valuations, and strategic planning. He has been with St. Francis for almost a year and provides operational and strategic leadership to the St. Francis Medical group comprised of 535 employees and annual net revenues of approximately $70 million.
Chip earned his B.A. in Accounting from the University of West Florida, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Florida, and a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) through the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
