St. Francis Gastroenterology

Dr. Richard Robbins has announced his retirement, effective May 31, 2017. Here are excerpts from his letter to patients which include his message of personal appreciation as well as instructions for continuation of care.

From Richard Robbins, MD:

"This is to notify you that, effective May 31, 2017, I have decided to retire and will be closing my practice. I did not come to this decision without reservation, but the time is right to forge a new phase in my life. It has been my privilege and deep honor to have been your friend and physician because each of you have enriched me professionally and personally. I will forever be grateful for your friendship, but most of all, the trust you have bestowed in me all these years.

Upon my departure, the physicians in the St. Francis Center for Digestive Disorders will be available to provide you continuation of care. Should you choose to continue your care with one of these physicians, they can be reached at 706-320-2766. St. Francis Hospital will maintain your medical records and these records will be available to assist them in the continuation of your care.

If you choose to see a physician outside the St. Francis family, please call 706-320-2752 and select option 2. This will put you in contact with our Release of Information Department and they will process your request for transferring your medical records.

Again, thank you so much for the years you allowed me to be of service to you. I will miss each one of you."
